The town of Cave del Predil, originally Raibl, owes its existence to the presence of a rich lead and zinc deposit. The mine, active since the Roman age, was closed for good in 1991. The exhibition is a short journey through the history and the recent events of the mines, old images of the mine and of the miners who worked there, of today’s and yesterday’s Cave del Predil, interesting information about the minerals that are obtained from the extraction, about their use and their properties, a rich display of equipment. Park: on a small train and on foot for some stretches, the galleries of the mine can be visited with a guide, a unique and extremely educational experience. Inside there is a constant temperature of about 11°, therefore we suggest that you wear suitable clothes.
